Viola “Ola” Mae Bryson, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on March 4, 2024, in the comfort of her home in Red River County, TX. Born on August 25, 1921, Ola lived a life marked by love, kindness, and unwavering strength.

She shared her life with her husband, Howard Ed Bryson, whom she married on January 15, 1940, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and with whom she built a legacy to cherish. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bogata and with her husband Ed, they were the owners of Bryson Insurance Agency and Bryson Hardware Store.

Throughout her life, Ola touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her loving sons: Duane and his wife Martha Bryson, Bill Bryson, and Charles and his wife, Pam Bryson. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Duanna Ewell, Brent Bryson, Michele Smith, Scott Bryson, Jennifer Culp, and Michael Bryson. Her spirit will live on through generations, touching the lives of her great-grandchildren: Kristofer, Kory, Karlie, Josh, Breanna, T.J., Morgan, Jessie, Latrel, Stanley, Shelby and J.T.,   great-great grandchildren, Hadley, Hayden, Beckam, Easton, Addie, Kam, Locklyn, Hudson, Stetson, Brice, Bradley, Madison, Emma, Ryker and baby Wetzel, who will be here in August.

Ola was preceded in death by her parents, Elijha Green and Nannie Mae (Threadgill) Morgan, her husband Howard Ed Bryson, four brothers, Silas, Sidney, Harvey, and Travis Morgan, and four sisters, Mertle Gray, Jossie Fennel, Neat Massey, and Agnes Morgan.
