  7. Oscar Elliott says:

I am saddened to learn of Hugh’s passing and I pray your family receives comfort from your grief. I’ve only known Hugh for a short time mainly through Charles O’Neal. I usually like anyone that Charlie likes and Hugh certianly was no exception. The very first time I met Hugh, I liked him and, for me, that is unusual. He had an engaging personality and was a pleasure to be around. He will be missed not only by his family but also by the legions of friends he leaves behind.

We were saddened by the news of Hughs passing. I was recently asked how I got interested in old cars, my answer was Hugh Jeffus. It was not unusual for a trip to the bank to last 30 minutes or an hour just talking street rodding. I really enjoyed visiting with him and he will be truly be missed.
