  4. Chuck Wright says:

When I was a kid and my grandparents told me were going to deport I would be so excited. Aunt Marcil was always a big part of it!!

  5. Ms. Marcilla was the mother of my best friend, Obe. He and I worked together in Waco, Tx during the early 80’s. She was a beautiful person with a loving and humble soul. She and I talked regularly on the phone and shared stories of joy, sorrow, and life in general. When Obe was stricken with illness he would call my mother, and speak to her on the phone. This lifted her spirits while she battled cancer. I am grateful to him for that!! After the Lord called them both home, she and I began our relationship. We felt we survived their deaths by keeping them alive through our memories and conversations. We laughed. We cried. We prayed. The last time we spoke was late June or early July. We talked about our dear friend Mary Vasquez from Waco who passed away this past spring. We talked about Ms. Marcilla’s move to her new apartment and how her pet Tinee-Hinee had adjusted. I have been trying to call her for one of our personal update sessions and felt something was wrong when she did not answer the phone. Then, when the number was out of service, I knew something had happened!! I googled her name and this obituary popped up. I am so sad…but knowing she was a blessed child of God and had a deep love of the Lord makes this unexpected news bearable. To the family: She shared fond memories of her close friends and sisters. She loved her son, Jack, and looked forward to closing the gap in their relationship. Ms. Marcilla, I am blessed to have known you and will miss you very, very, very much!! If I had known you were sick or hurting, I would have made every attempt to be there. I sent you a card just the other day because you have been on my mind. My spirit told me today I would discover what was going on but little did I know it would be this. I love you. I cherish your memory. You were a good friend. My sympathy goes out to the families. May God continue to bless you and keep you in his everlasting arms. Rest in peace.

If the person reading this would please forward my response to the family. Please. I would like to know where she was laid to rest. It would mean so much to me. She always talked of being laid next to Obe.
