VIRGINIA FAY LARUE HAWTHORNE 77 of Paris and formerly of Deport

Virginia Fay Thompson LaRue Hawthorne, 77 of Paris died on January 8, 2018 in Heritage House of Paris.  Wood Funeral Homes will conduct graveside services on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at  11:00 am in Highland Cemetery with Mark Sanders officiating.  The Family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Wednesday night.

She was born on April 14, 1940 in Deport,  the daughter of Wallace and Minnie Lou Henderson Thompson.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie D. Hawthorne; her husband, Herman LaRue and her brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Mary Thompson.

Survivors include her children:  Sammy LaRue and wife, Martha of Blossom; Jeffery LaRue and wife, Cheryl of Powderly; Willie LaRue and wife Kathy of Brookston; Scott Larue and spouse, Alan Miller of Manchester; Melissa Keener and husband, Mickey of Pattonville; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Joe Lynn Thompson and wife, Sharyl of Pattonville; her sisters:  Georgia Ann Haley and husband Roger of Chicota and Betty Gates and husband, Wayne of Powderly.  her aunt, Juanita Farris and husband, Homer of Brookston; her special caregiver, Kat Doolittle of Heritage House; her life long friend, Deidra Jones Cone of Henderson.

    So sorry to hear of Fay’s passing. She was a wonderful person who I thought a lot of. I’m sorry the kids and I didn’t come to the visitation or funeral. We have all been sick with something like the flu all week. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you.
