Linda Ruth Nolen Smith, 65 of Talco

lindanolensmithLinda Ruth Smith, age 65 of Talco, died at her home on Tuesday, October 18, 2016.  Funeral Services have been scheduled for Thursday, October 20 at 2:00pm in Calvary Baptist Church of Talco.  Interment will follow in Talco Cemetery.  Wood Funeral Homes, Bogata have charge of the arrangements.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00pm

She was born on October 9, 1951 in Borger, Texas, the daughter of Weldon Buford and Joy Louise Barr Nolen.  She married Mike Smith on May 8, 1981.  She worked for Rivercrest ISD in the Cafeteria.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was an avid Bingo Player.

Survivors include her husband, Mike of Talco; her children:  Micheal Smith and wife, Glenna of Talco; Ricky Beene and wife Jennifer of Mt. Vernon; Danny Beene and wife, Darla of Mt. Vernon; Kevin Beene and wife, Brandy of Iowa; sister, Sandra Parsons of Talco; brothers, Ricky Nolen and wife Sue of Gilmer, and Randy Nolen and wife Tina of Talco; 7 grandchildren:  Jairred Smith; JJ Smith; James Beene; Dylan Beene; Peyton Beene; Dalton Beene and wife Jessica, and Dakota Beene; one great-grandson; many cousins, nieces and nephews and her beloved fur babies:  Trixie Ray Ann; Sandy, and Bubba.

    We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We met Linda in church and always looked forward to talking, laughing and getting a hug! She was loved by many. Her family was very important to her and loved them dearly. She is now in her Heavenly home and I know that she will be an exceptional Angel. RIP my friend and we will someday meet again.
