Pete Belcher, 80 of Cuthand

peteEdd Bradley (Pete) Belcher, 80 of Cuthand died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Clarksville Nursing Center in Clarksville, Texas. Funeral services will be 2pm Saturday, August 27 at the Cuthand Methodist Church with Rev. John Purvianance officiating. Burial will be at Cuthand Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Homes. The family will receive friends Friday evening 6-8 pm at the church.

Pete was born in Red River County on October 28, 1935 the son of Herman and Jessie Ewing Belcher. On September 12, 1953, he married Peggy Smith in Clarksville, Texas. He was a rancher and rodeo cowboy.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Belcher of Cuthand; five children, Tim Belcher, Randy Belcher, Eddie Wayne Belcher, Monica Townes and Carla Belcher all of Cuthand; two sisters, Dorothy (Mutt) White of Cuthand and Nancy Dugger of Fulbright; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Doris Belcher and two grandchildren, Joshua Lance Belcher and Brook Elayne Belcher.
