RODGER DALE WILLIAMS, 71 of Clarksville (formerly of Bogata)

rodgerdalewilliamsMr. Rodger Dale Williams, 71 of Clarksville, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Paris Regional Medical Center.  Graveside Services have been scheduled for Saturday, April 16 at 2:00pm in Fairview Cemetery in Clarksville..  The Family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Wood Funeral Homes have charge of the arrangements.

He was born on June 11, 1944 in Bogata, the son of Morris and Elizabeth Kennedy Williams.  He worked for Merchant Freight Lines in Dallas for a number of years.  He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1965-1967.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two brothers:  Billy Mac Williams and wife, Wanda of Garland and Bobby Williams of Dallas; two nieces, Paula English of Parker and Teena Garrett of Dallas.

    Roger you will never be forgotten in our hearts. You were there for us at times when no one else was. You were a wonderful best friend to dad and so kind and loving to all 3 of us. You taught me how to cook some stuff, taught dad a few things about fishing and taught mom how to laugh out loud. We will miss you so much but your memories with us live forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace as I called you “Uncle Roger” because you were like family to us.     So sorry to here this as Roger was like a brother.I never met a more honest person in my life.Enjoyed fishing and talking with him.Wish I had visited him more while he was not able to get out like he used to.He will always be missed .RIP Rodge !
