Mr. Edwin [Jack] Bastible, Garvin, Oklahoma


Jack Bastible, age 48 of Garvin, Oklahoma, died as the result on a truck accident on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.  Funeral Services have been scheduled for Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 in the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Garvin, Oklahoma with Reverends Leon Tims and Troy Ruffin officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6-7pm at the funeral home and at the church from 1-2pm on Saturday.  Wood Funeral Homes have charge of the arrangements.

He was born on January 16, 1967 in Oklahoma, the son of J.V. and Ollie Foley Bastible.  He owned and operated the Edwin J. Bastible Trucking Company.

He is survived by his parents.  Buddy & Ollie Bastible of Garvin, Oklahoma; his children:  Britney Roberts of Houston and Dakota Bastible of Broken Bow; a sister, Loretta Dotson of Clarksville; 2 grandchildren; one niece Kaylona Long; and nephew, Levi Long of Clarksville.

    Loretta I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your brother Jack. My heart goes out to you and your family. I was in the same unfortunate situation in March when I lost my baby brother Steve who was classmates with Jack. They were taken way too soon but the good Lord needed them more. Give your parents my heart felt condolences too. I’m here for you and remember God will get us through theses difficult times. I Love you girl and your family are in my prayers.
