Lee Dwight Robinson, 94 of Cuthand

robinsonLee Dwight Robinson age 94 of Cuthand went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.  Funeral Services have been scheduled for Sunday, July 19, 2015 in The Bogata Church of God with the Reverend Ethel Elrod, Rev Willie Rhodes, and Sister Janice Freeman speaking.  Burial will follow in Robinson Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 6-7pm at the Funeral Home.

He was born in Laurel, Iowa May 1, 1921 the son of Clarence Dwight and Vergil Maud Haynes Robinson. He married the former Elma Eaton May 13, 1945 in Newton, Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 11, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Charles Warren Robinson and Carroll Robinson.  He had worked as a mechanic, a blacksmith and had farmed.  He moved to Texas in 1980 and settled in Cuthand where he had lived for the past 35 years. He was a longtime member of the Church of God and was an active member of Bogata Church of God until his health diminished.

He is survived by very special friends Rev Charlene Harper, Ariel and Reagan and Rev Bobby Freeman and his wife Janice; A sister in law Nancy Brown Robinson of Marshalltown, Iowa.  He is also survived by a brother Max Robinson and his wife Sue of Bowling Green Kentucky, cousins Dale Benskin and wife Jean of Marshalltown, Iowa and Virginia Doutt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, distant family members and many, many friends.

    Charlene, I am very sorry to hear about Bro. Lee. He was a sweet man, kind person. I loved hearing his stories when I first met him. And it was very sad watching his health decline. As a faithful Christian he has earned his reward of eternal life. You are in my prayers.
