jimmiewaderaganMs. Jimmie Wade Ragan, 94 of Deport and formerly of Bogata, died on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Brentwood Terrace Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.  Graveside Services were originally scheduled for Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 am   THEY HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL WEDNESDAY AT 11:00AM with Dr. L.C. Stout officiating.  Wood Funeral Homes, Bogata have charge of the arrangements.

She was born on March 23, 1919 in Lake Creek, Texas, the daughter of James and Beulah Elizabeth Wade Ragan.  She began working at the Bogata School Library, she then worked during War II at the Naval AirStation welding Airplanes, and then finally retiring from the Presbyterian Book Store in Dallas after many years of service.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Katherine Tully.

She is survived by her niece, Floy Tully Francis Williams, her great nephews, Joey and Gala Francis and Mark Francis all of Deport; great-great-nephews and nieces, Josey and Jessica Francis, John Mark Francis, and Jera Lee Francis.
