Rosie Pearl Rhodes, 70 of Kemp, formerly of Bogata

rosiepRosie Pearl Rhodes, 70 of Kemp and formerly of Bogata, died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at her home.  Graveside Services are 3:00pm on Sunday, December 29 at Smith Cemetery of Rosalie under the direction of Wood Funeral Homes.  Officiating will be Reverend Frank Sizemore and Reverend Billy Daniels.

She was born in Red River County on April 8, 1943, the daughter of Joe and Lonie Bee McDonald Black.  She married Lynn Ross Rhodes on October 31, 1958 in Bogata He survives her today as does her daughter, Charissa Roberts and husband Charlie of Kemp; son, Joe Lynn Rhodes of Carizzo Springs, Texas; a sister, Gladyies Tucker of Bogata; two grandchildren, Terri Adams and husband, Eric of Mesquite and Ty Roberts of Kemp and 3 great grandchildren Hunter, Myles and Maddox.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a Sister, Mary Jo Davis in 1992.

    Rosie and I worked together at good old Baker & Taylor in Clarksville. I enjoyed working with Rosie,and I know it’s been a long time, but there are some people that you will always remember. Rosie was just one of people and a trully lovely lady. I am so sorry for your loss.
