Nelta Musgrove, 73

Mrs. Nelta LaRue Musgrove, age 73 of Cunningham left her family and friends on earth to join her family and friends on the other side Sunday July 21, 2013.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2pm Wednesday July 24 in Life Tabernacle Church in Cunningham with Frankie Norwood and Libby Hertzog officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery under direction of Wood Funeral Homes of Deport.  Pallbearers will be nephews. A family visitation will be held at the church from 6-8 pm Tuesday.

Nelta was born June 29, 1940 in Cunningham the daughter of Odis and Marie Norman Watson. She married Johnie Musgrove May 24, 1956 in Paris.  She and her husband owned and operated Musgrove Country Store in Cunningham for over 50 years. She was postmaster of Cunningham Post Office for 35 years.

She is survived by her husband Johnny Musgrove, her daughter and son in law Zarinska and Shane Morton, her son and daughter in law Stacey and Linda Musgrove, a sister Geneva Norwood and a Brother Dean and Ada Watson, two grandchildren Stoney Musgrove and wife Meagan, and Charity Needham and husband Jake, two great grandchildren Mayzie Grace and Andrie Joyce Musgrove all of Cunningham.

I loved Nelta with all my heart and I know my momma, (Nell Wolf) did too.   17. My heart goes out to the Musgrove family all who knew Nelta knew she was a very special woman who God blessed with a beautiful and gracious heart. I will never forget all of the times around the dinner table as she would always go the extra mile to serve.
    She has now entered that great cloud of witnesses on the other side rest in peace Nelta you fought a good fight kept the faith and finished your course leaving a legacy for those who will follow after.

    Reading of Nelta’s passing was so upsetting to me. I regret that I could not attend her service, but I was out of town this past week. We have lost a sweet lady here on earth. I know Heaven is a much better place than this old world we live in and Nelta is up there brightening things up a bit with her warm smile and kind heart. My prayers go out to her family and friends.
